Introduction
At the time of my injury on Friday 31st July 2015, I was working as an IT security consultant for the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in London. Some of my former colleagues have passed me a selection of messages (below), which were sent out to inform staff of my injury and absence from work.

Arranging a Visit by a Colleague
Date: 13th October, 2015
In October 2015 (while still at the Haywood hospital), I was naïvely hoping I’d be returning to employment before too long. I arranged a hospital visit with the Met Police project manager colleague who’d be responsible for my hiring – Phil Dear. I put together a document which consolidated flippant emails between Phil and myself, prior to our meeting up.

I completed the following email thread of dialogue after I’d been discharged home from the Haywood hospital on 4th November 2015 – read from the bottom up.
